WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
The Coastal Flood Advisory for D.C. will remain in effect until noon on Monday and will be followed by a Coastal Flood Warning that will last for days, according to authorities.
The National Weather Service says the flood advisory will transition into a warning at 12 p.m. and remain in effect until Wednesday at 6 a.m. A tidal departure of 2 to 3.5 feet more than normal is expected.
The D.C. seafood market, parts of East Potomac Park, and the boardwalk at Washington Harbour are all expected to experience flooding, officials say. The shoreline could be inundated with as much as 2 feet of water in other areas.
