POLICE: SMALL PLANE CRASHES OFF OF LONG ISLAND BEACH

AMAGANSETT, Long Island - Police and the U.S. Coast Guard are on the scene of a small plane crash off of a Long Island beach.

The FAA reports the aircraft crashed two miles off the shore of Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett just before 3:30 p.m.

There were four people in the plane at the time.

The Coast Guard is searching along with various other officials for debris.

The NTSB will determine the cause of the crash.
