A MASSIVE earthquake hit the Philippines this morning measuring a whopping 6.1-magnitude on the island of Catanduanes. Here is the latest news on the quake.

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck in the Philippines on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the quake, which hit at a depth of 30 km (18 miles), about 50 km north-northwest of Pandan, on the island of Catanduanes.
USGS earlier put the quake at a strength of 6.4.
The tremor was also felt in parts of Metro Manila.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor struck around 2.19pm local time.
Instrumental intensity III was reported in Guinayangan, Quezon and Sorsogon City, Sorsogon while instrumental intensity II was reported in Lucban, Quezon.
No major damage was expected from the quake but locals should look out for aftershocks, the agency said.
