Eagles used ring ceremony to right an organizational wrong
Just when you thought the Eagles couldn’t have done any better with their handling of the Super Bowl rings … it turns out they could and did.
Apparently, the Eagles used the ring ceremony to right an organizational wrong.
So my aunt works for the eagles for three decades as the head coach’s secretary.— Brianna (@briannawrist) June 15, 2018
Chip Kelly fires her.
The Eagles win the super bowl.
I get the below text messages last night.
I’ve never loved and organization more. pic.twitter.com/YaeMrl6TI1
OK, that’s pretty cool.
Brianna’s aunt is Carol Wilson, who did indeed work for the Eagles for a really long time. In the 2012 media guide, she was listed as the “Executive Assistant to Head Coach.”
The Eagles have worked tirelessly over the past few years to clean up Chip Kelly’s mess and this is just the latest example.
There were plenty of well-wishers after the tweet gained traction. It shows how much everyone else in the organization thought of Aunt Carol.
This is awesome. And Carol deserved it. https://t.co/TlTbKAEs3J— Michael Lombardi (@mlombardiNFL) June 15, 2018
Tell your aunt Carol i said hello, and im so happy that they remembered her! If anyone in that front office deserved to celebrate that victory it is her!! Hope she got a SB ring or penant, something!!— Seth Joyner (@sethjoyner) June 15, 2018

Joel Embiid's hilarious reply to viral video of 6-10, 12-year-old basketball player
Basket Cantera TV
If you have the Internet, you have probably seen this video of 6-foot-10, 12-year-old basketball phenom Olivier Rioux yesterday. What you might not have seen are these hilarious reactions by Joel Embiid and Steph Curry.
For those of you who somehow missed the video, here it is.
This kid is 12. He's 6-foot-10 and plays on a 8-foot hoop.— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) June 14, 2018
Wonder how that's going ... 😮 #SCtop10pic.twitter.com/OEc3uiYzFP
Joel Embiid, your thoughts?
I can’t imagine the joy Embiid had watching this video. As someone who has, as recently as this month, dribbled a basketball off someone’s face, swatted young fans shots during promotional events and joked about dunking on 5-2 trainers, Embiid had to have enjoyed this video more than anyone. He is also one of the best trash-talkers in the game, so his comment about Rioux staring down and trash-talking his opponents is pure gold.
Steph Curry also had his say, which is what we were all thinking.
Not for nothing, Rioux shows off a few good post moves in the video and some range as well. Just imagine how much fun it must be to be allowed to play as hard as you can against opponents that you’re able to completely dominate. Obviously, things will change for the youngster when he graduates to taller rims and taller opponents, but for now, this video is awesome and I hope we haven’t seen the last of this Canadian wonderkid.
Brian Dawkins got a Super Bowl ring ... and it's perfect
AP Images
Just before the Eagles were finally allowed to open their ring boxes during Thursday night’s private event in South Philly, they brought Brian Dawkins on stage.
Dawkins, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this spring, spoke briefly, but told the Eagles he wasn’t even sure if they realized what they had done. How important this Super Bowl really was for a lot of people, including former players like him.
As a member of the front office during the Super Bowl season, Brian Dawkins now has a Super Bowl ring. How cool is that?
And instead of having his last name on the ring like everyone else, Dawkins’ ring actually says “Weapon X.”

Perfect.
And just because you probably can’t see it enough, here’s Dawk with a mile-wide smile as he shows off the ring last night.
