Small plane crashes on takeoff from Eliza Island

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A small plane crashed on Eliza Island on Friday.

The plane, a Stinson 108, crashed on takeoff from the island’s airstrip and ended up on its roof.

The pilot was the only person on board and suffered only minor injuries.
