*Chi-w-e-re (also called Io-wa-O-toe-M'-i-s-so-u-ri-a or Bá-xo-je-J'
-íw-e-re-N'-y-ú-tʼa-chi) is a S-io-u-an language originally spoken by the M'-is-so-u-ri-a, O-toe, and Iowa peoples, who originated in the Great L'a-k'-es re-g-io-n but later moved throughout the Midwest and plains. The language is closely related to Ho-C-hu-n-k, also known as Win-ne-ba-g'-o.
