*~Kh-me-im-im A-ir Ba-se (Ru-s-si-an: Х-ме-й-м-и-м), al-so H-me-im-im A-ir Ba-se (Ar-ab-ic: حميميم), is a Syrian airbase currently operated by Russia, located south-east of the city of La-ta-kia in Hmeimim [ar], La-ta-kia Governorate, S-y-ri-a and approximately 2 miles north-east of the coastal town of J-ab-l'-eh. The airbase shares some airfield facilities with La-ta-kia Airport. The legal status of the base is regulated by a treaty Ru-ss-ia and S-y-ri-a signed in August 2015. At the end of 2017, Ru-ss-ia said it had decided to turn the Kh-me-im-im base into a component of its permanent military contingent stationed in S-y-ri-a.~
