ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – An Alaska Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at the Albuquerque International Sunport this morning.
The carrier tells KOB that flight 1399 was directed to Albuquerque while on route from New York to Los Angeles due to fumes in the cabin.
Officials say there was no indication that there was a fire on board but technicians are inspecting the plane to determine a cause for the smell.
Passengers are being accommodated on other airlines continuing to Los Angeles today.
