National Weather Service confirms 2 tornadoes near Pleasant Hope, Mo. Saturday

 
     
PLEASANT HOPE, Mo. -- The National Weather Service confirms not one, but two tornadoes Saturday in the Pleasant Hope, Mo. area.
Assessment teams rated both of the storms EF-1 twisters producing at least 100 mile-per-hour winds.
The first tornado hit around 6:25 p.m. two miles northwest of Pleasant Hope. It lasted for about 2.3 miles. It stretched about as wide as a football field.
The second tornado hit about three miles north to northwest of Pleasant Hope. It hit around 6:28 p.m. It lasted about two miles, stretching as wide as a football field.
Assessment teams report no injuries. The tornadoes uprooted trees and damaged outbuildings.
